FAMILY FATE tells the story of Thun Chay, a Cambodian who was left behind by his mother in a refugee camp during their escape from the Red Khmer and the civil war in their home country. As a war orphan he received asylum in the Pestalozzi Children’s Village in Switzerland. Here he took root and became a father. Today he wants to work up his fate: with his mother he goes on a journey through Cambodia searching the places of his childhood.
